The Maui News - When the Japanese tsunami hit the shores of Hawai'i a year ago, the Lahaina Small Boat Harbor gained a new sandbar that has made it difficult for boats to get by. Eric Yuasa, boating engineer for the Department of Land and Natural Resources, said there are plans in the works to alleviate the problem.
Dredging is scheduled to begin in late March.
