A federal criminal complaint has been filed against employees of the Transportation Security Administration and Delta Airlines. The complaint alleges that workers aided in the operation of a methamphetamine ring between southern California and Hawai'i.
Five people were formally charged, including a Delta Airline agent who utilized her clearance to allow parcels to pass unchecked through airport security. The Homeland Security Investigations cites Sifatutupu Fuamatu as using a security card to gain access to internal baggage carousels and transport drug money to California. Walter Dominguez also used a Delta or TSA employee to put drug shipments in luggage that had already passed security checkpoints.
