The public is invited to a presentation by Bonnie Lee Pang, employee benefits consultant at Atlas Insurance Agency, who will be the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Kahului meeting on Monday, April 23, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Dunes Restaurant Pang. Pang will present a "Review of Health Care Reform from March 23, 2010 to current; immediate compliance requirements for 2012; and things to watch for from 2013 to 2014."
Atlas Insurance is a locally owned insurance agency insuring Hawai'i's families since 1929. Pang joined Atlas Insurance in January 2007 to develop the employee benefits practice to complement Atlas' already successful Property Casualty program. Atlas Employee Benefits works with clients to design and manage a company's employee benefits program to ensure that it is appropriately designed, competitively priced, in compliance with both State and Federal laws and Health Care Reform, and incorporates important cost containment strategies (e.g. contribution modeling and worksite health promotion).
Pang has over 17 years of experience in health insurance and employee benefits. She has worked with medium and large employers in construction, hospitality, law firms, grocery, retail, nonprofit and education.
She is an appointed member of the Statewide Health Coordinating Council (SHCC), past president of the Education Foundation for Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) Hawai'i, and past-board member of the Coalition for a Tobacco Free Hawai'i.
The club meets weekly at the Dunes Restaurant at Maui Lani from noon to 1 p.m. Cost for lunch is $20 or a $5 program fee.
