The Valley Isle Kennel Club will host its all-breed AKC dog show, and obedience and rally trials on Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29, at the Kihei Elementary School's playground field.
Visitors are welcome and admission is free (but un-entered dogs are not allowed on the show grounds).
One hundred top dogs from O'ahu, Hawai'i Island and Maui will compete for titles, championships and the coveted "Best in Show" award. Over 40 champions will compete each day.

Six champion dogs will also compete in the performance events. Obedience and rally showcase teamwork between a handler and his or her dog as they successfully navigate rally courses. Obedience trials demonstrate how our canine partners obey hand signals, complete scent discrimination tasks, jump a variety of jumps and more.
Some of the dogs in competition have successfully competed in the televised Westminster Dog Show last February.
Four highly esteemed judges from the Mainland will preside over the competition each day.
