Play it Forward Concerts (PFC) and Stella Blues Caf will present their second annual Mother's Day concert on Sunday, May 13, beginning at 6:30 p.m. to increase awareness and raise money for Women Helping Women.
The Maui-based organization provides emergency shelter and programs for victims of domestic violence. Their mission is to end domestic violence through advocacy, education and prevention, and to offer safety, support and empowerment to women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Renowned singer and voice teacher Joy Fields (Sing With Joy Vocal Studio) will serve as musical director for the concert. Fields has planned a stellar show with some of Maui's top vocalists, including Nara Boone, Danielle Delaunay, Lily Meola, Sebrina Barron and Margie Heart. Joining these established artists will be three fresh talents--Miranda Ellis, Christina Nelson and Emma Rich.
Women Helping Women
This yearly signature event exemplifies PFC's two-fold mission: to provide up-and-coming musicians exposure by having them share the stage with established artists; and to maintain a philanthropic edge by raising money and increasing awareness for a variety of charities.
The line-up of immense talent coupled with the blossoming up-and-comers is the exact mix for which Play it Forward strives.
Tickets for the show are $30; $60 for a four-course meal and show. Call Stella Blues for reservations at (808) 874-3779.
Stella Blues Caf is located at 1279 South Kihei Road in the Azeka II Shopping Center.
