The last Maui high school to hold its commencement exercises was Kamehameha Schools Maui on Saturday, May 26. What a memorable Maui event!
Hawaiian culture, language and song embraced the heart of the commencement exercises so very emotional for those who understood and for those who experienced for the first time! Well done, Kamehameha Schools Class of 2012!
Part of the distinctive Class of 2012 Kamehameha Schools is Angelique Fontaine, daughter of our own state House Representative George Fontaine, who always plans his community leadership responsibilities putting his family first. Always making sure his children receives well-rounded life experiences. Angelique, his first high school graduate, received her diploma with highest honors besides being a well-awarded canoe paddler! In fact, Angelique even spoke Hawaiian at the State Capitol legislative chambers for an opening session--the gift of children giving and returning in the Fontaine household.
Congratulations Angelique Fontaine!
