The Gas Company has added 180,000 gallons of propane storage on the island of Maui. The expansion represents a 25 percent increase in TGC's propane storage capacity on the island.
Mustafa Demirbag, general manager of The Gas Company in Maui County, said, "The existing and new tanks can provide up to five weeks of clean gas energy for Maui customers." The company also plans to increase storage capacity on the islands of O'ahu, Hawai'i and Kaua'i.
TGC has been serving the Maui community for the past 47 years and now employs 23 energy professionals to serve customers on the island.
In conjunction with the dedication of its new facility, the company also presented a check for $5,000 to Hale Makua Health Services. The organization's mission is to provide excellence in healthcare in their home and in the homes of its clients. Hale Makua CEO Tony Kreig commented, "TGC is a trusted partner in the Maui community and across the State of Hawai'i. Their contribution to Hale Makua Services will help to ensure that our kupuna receive the care and respect they deserve."
