The Lahaina Cannery Mall will host its 14th annual Keiki Hula Festival on Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29. This free, two-day cultural event will feature halau (dance troupes) from across the island presenting richly choreographed kahiko (ancient hula) and 'auana (modern) hula that express the traditional values of Hawai'i and the Pacific Islands.
The weekend celebration will also feature Hawaiian artisans and crafters demonstrating lei making, weaving, wood carving and other traditional skills.
Halau will take the stage every other hour beginning at 11 a.m. with the last performance at 5 p.m. each day.
Te Tiare Patitifa will be one of the featured hālau at this year’s Keiki Hula Festival at the Lahaina Cannery Mall.
