The Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) announces the return of Starry Night Cinema this summer, its new series of movie nights for the whole family to enjoy. With the support of the County of Maui, the MACC installed a giant projection screen under Yokouchi Pavilion and consulted with the Maui Film Festival to present family-friendly films at no charge to the public.
On Friday, Aug. 3, Starry Night Cinema will screen Disney's fantasy-musical, "Enchanted," at 7:30 p.m.
In this Cinderella-like story, Amy Adams stars as Giselle, the heroine who is forced from her traditional animated world of Andalasia into the live-action world of modern New York City.

Patrick Dempsey stars as a modern-day "prince" who rescues her, and James Marsden stars as the prince from Andalasia, who comes to find Giselle and bring her back.
Susan Sarandon portrays the wicked stepmother, Queen Narissa, in a delightful role.
Guests are encouraged to come to the MACC early (gates open at 6 p.m.), bring a blanket or beach chair to relax on the A&B Amphitheater lawn and enjoy casual dining, drink specials, art activities for kids, talking with neighbors and listening to music.
Master of ceremonies is Pete Hume from H. Hawai'i Media radio group.
Caterers who will be serving food for purchase include Maui Vegan Soups, Rosa's Tacos, Star Anise Indian Cuisine and Maui Kazowie Kettlecorn.
The next Starry Night Cinema event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 2 with a pet dog theme. The MACC's popular Poi Doggie Contest from 4 to 6 p.m. will precede the screening of "My Dog Skip" at 7 p.m. Don't miss it!
