The Maui News - Raynald Ragudo, 36, of Ha'iku was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 2, and charged with burglarizing residences in Ha'iku and Lahaina and using credit cards stolen in burglaries in Ha'iku and Spreckelsville.
Bail was set at $51,200 for Ragudo, who is facing two counts each of first-degree burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card and second-degree theft.
One burglary was reported at about 2 p.m. on April 30 at a residence on Front Street in Lahaina.
In another burglary at 1:30 p.m. on July 15, police said Ragudo had another person go to a Ha'iku home to ask for directions. When the person was invited inside and allowed to use a computer, Ragudo broke into the residence through the back.
Ragudo also was observed on bank surveillance video withdrawing $800 cash on March 13 from the account of a victim whose bank cards were stolen in a Ha'iku burglary the same day, police said.
