The "Restoring Our History" Ho'olaule'a, marking the 180th anniversary of Ka'ahumanu Church (1832-2012), will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 15, on the church grounds, 103 S. High St. in Wailuku. Admission is free.
Entertainment will feature Ola Hou with Kevin and Sheldon Brown, and Na Leo Lani O Maui Choir under the direction of Gale Wisehart.
Ten booths offer crafts and food (pulehu steak plate, chili and rice, banana lumpia, poi mochi, pickled onions, chili pepper water), plus a rummage sale, and a silent auction featuring lei hulu and kahili, with proceeds benefiting the church.
