Pacific Business News - The median price of a single-family home jumped 26.8 percent in Maui County in August compared to the same month last year, while sales volume dipped 7.4 percent, according to the Realtors Association of Maui.
The median price climbed to $520,000 in August, up $110,000 from $410,000 in August 2011.
The 75 single-family homes that sold in Maui County in August compared with 81 sales in August 2011.
Meanwhile, the condominium market saw increases in both the median price and sales volume. The median price of a condo rose 28.7 percent last month, to $342,450 from $266,000. Sales volume climbed 14 percent, to 98 from 86 year over year.
