COED SOFTBALL LEAGUE

Nuts & Honey's used Benito Alconcel's three RBIs to get past Cove Park Ohana 12-9. In a wild game that went just three innings due to the time limit rule, Beach Bums scored 16 runs in the first inning then held off 808 Grinders 21-20. So Wut built an 11-2 lead after two innings and cruised past Boom 18-3, with Doi Ramos going four for four and scoring three runs. Platinum and Red Line played a close game until an eight-run fifth inning put Platinum ahead for good, winning 12-9.

Coed games are played every Sunday starting at 5 p.m. at South Maui Community Park.

GIRLS 15 & UNDER LEAGUE

Khaos split a doubleheader, first losing to Riptide 8-7, then despite being outhit 8-0, were aided by 12 walks in defeating Wadoosh 11-7.

Girls' games are played every Monday at 5:30 and 7 p.m.

SOUTH MAUI MEN'S SOFTBALL LEAGUE

Tuesday, Sept. 25: Ten10Ten10Ten scored all their runs in the third inning, knocking off Blue Collar 7-5. Caged used a 12-run second inning in routing Put Out Da Fire 21-2. Trailing 6-1, Wild Ones scored six runs in the last two innings to edge Doggie Dawgs 7-6.

Wednesday, Sept. 26: Red Eye Souljahs just got past Q103 9-8. Chico's built a 4-0 lead over Cove Park Bradda's and held on for a 4-3 win. K5 Live scored nine first inning runs--three on Kevin Fanara's homerun--beating Korrupt 15-10.

Thursday, Sept. 27: Red Eye Souljahs came out swinging and rolled over Blue Collar 31-10. Goodfellow Brothers and Korrupt played to a 14-14 tie in another game affected by the one-hour game time limit. Aww Shucks pounded out 43 hits and routed Da Jagerbombers 38-3.

Men's league games are played Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights starting at 6 p.m.

SIGN-UP BEGINS FOR SOUTH MAUI YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Registration has begun for the 2013 South Maui Youth Basketball League season. Boys and girls ages 5 to 11 are encouraged to sign up. Pre-season clinics will begin in late October. Teams will be put together in late November, team practices start in December, and then games will begin in January at either Kamali'i Elementary School or Kalama Park. Call our office at 879-4533 for more information.
