Solar Energy Update on Maui

Upcountry Sustainability and the Sustainable Living Institute of Maui will present an evening of facts and discussion about solar energy on Maui on Monday, Nov. 5, beginning at 7 p.m. at the University of Hawai'i Maui College (UHMC), Laulima Building, room 225.

The presentation will include circuit saturation, tax incentives, how much solar energy your home might need, and how much it might cost.

Speakers will include UHMC Energy Project Coordinator Stuart Zinner, who has taught STEM and Sustainable Construction Tech classes, and at SLIM through EdVenture/OCET. He also provides sustainable energy consulting services.

Guest speaker Matias Besasso, co-founder of Rising Sun Solar Company, has taught solar classes at UHMC and has years of experience designing and installing home and business solar photovoltaic systems.

This event is free and open to the public.
