Oakley, one of the leading sports brands in the world, has announced the opening of its first Maui Oakley Store. Members of the Oakley Surf Team and other special guests will be on hand to share the excitement on Friday, Nov. 16, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
The 1,800-plus-square-foot store is located in the Whaler's Village Shopping Mall at 2435 Ka'anapali Parkway.
A traditional Hawaiian blessing will be performed by Earl Kukahiko. Hawaiian-style live music and hula dancers will add to the celebration. Oakley branded beach towels, reusable totes, can coolers and golf balls will be available as a special gift with purchase.
"We're excited to be a part of the Maui community and look forward to serving those who live and play here," said Erik Searles, vice president of Oakley Retail. "The new Oakley store will offer the latest Oakley technology and innovations, helping sports enthusiasts in Maui excel in their performance."
The new Oakley store will carry the brand's full assortment of performance sunglasses, apparel, watches and other accessories in core sport categories including surf, training and golf. The store will also carry Hawai'i-specific apparel and accessories exclusive to the islands.
Maui resident Ray Sarafian will be the new store manager.
"Kama'aina on Maui will really enjoy having their own Oakley store where they can find the latest sunglasses and athletic gear for their sport and knowledgeable associates to assist them," said Sarafian.
