It's the holidays--the time of giving and appreciating all the little things in life. This year, Aloha Gold Buyers has adopted a family for Christmas through Imua Family Services. The family consists of a single mother, her young daughter and a grandmother who is in the hospital. The family is currently living in a shelter.
When asked about how this idea came about adopting a family for Christmas, Brandon said that it was something that he had wanted to do for a while. Even before opening up Aloha Gold Buyers, he has always wanted to somehow lend a helping hand to people in need. So Brandon decided to take it upon himself to research and find an organization that helps families who are going through hard times.
The staff at Imua Family Services was elated when they heard that Brandon wanted to lend a helping hand to a family in need. Brandon said that "life is not always about yourself. Sometimes you need to think outside of the box and lend a helping hand to someone who is in need. Its all about giving back. We live in Hawai'i and we are all 'ohana."
From now until Sunday, Dec. 23, Aloha Gold Buyers will take any type of donation that would help this family in need--food, clothes, toiletries and gift cards. Drop them off at Aloha Gold Buyers, 900 Eha St. in the Wailuku Industrial on the same street as Sack N, right above Hot Spot Video. Give him a call at 250-9602.
