We had a fantastic turnout at the first Kihei Fourth Friday Town Party on Dec. 28, 2012. Over 5,000 people attended! I want to extend my appreciation and mahalo to those who made this event possible:
The Kihei Fourth Friday Town Party Committee (KFFTPC), Maui Police and Fire Department members, who diligently donated their time over these past few months to make this happen;
Evelyn and Jeff of Azeka Shopping Center for being our gracious hosts;

Kīhei Friday Town Parties
My 50 volunteers who graciously donated their time and worked brilliantly as a team and individually, non-stop, from setup throughout the event to breakdown of the event;
Leslie Garcia, from the Kihei Youth Center and her wonderful students from Maui High School Key Club who were part of our Volunteer Team;
Francine and Stacey from the Community Work Day Program, who donated the trash and recycling bins and safety vests;
Thomas Tancre of Pacific Wireless Communications LLC for donating the invaluable walkie-talkies;
Just Wing It, which donated food for all the volunteers;
Maui County for offering us the opportunity to showcase the Kihei community and its small businesses in a fun event;
And all those who attended, making this first Kihei Fourth Friday Town Party a tremendous success.
Come party with us again on Jan. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Azeka Shopping Center.
