On Thursday, Jan. 10, at approximately 1:20 p.m., members of the Crime Reduction Unit and Special Response Team executed a Search Warrant upon the residence of 144 Luakaha Circle in Kihei, according to a press release from the Maui Police Department. A lone adult male located at the residence was identified as Steven E. Jones, age 52.
The search of the residence resulted in the recovery of six mopeds, two of which were confirmed to be reported stolen and four which were suspected to be stolen; 15 methadone hydrochloride 10mg pills; two glass smoking pipes containing crystal methamphetamine; paraphernalia associated with the use/distribution of crystal methamphetamine; 14 30-30 rounds of ammunition; a black jack weapon; and identification belonging to Jones and Deborah Davidson.
A conversion methamphetamine lab was also found within the bedroom.
Busted. Steven E. Jones was arrested in Kihei on Thursday, Jan. 10, after the execution of a search warrant resulted in the recovery of stolen mopeds, dangerous drugs and deadly weapons.
At 3:40 p.m., Jones was placed under arrest for the offenses of meth trafficking (manufacturing), promoting a dangerous drug, possession of deadly weapons and other charges.
Investigation revealed that the owner of the residence is Davidson, who lives with Curtis Welch.
All Points Bulletins were issued for Davidson and Welch, to be arrested for vehicle charges.
