A keiki art show for students from the Maui Kindness Club art class was held on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Kihei Community Center.
"The theme of the art show is kindness to animals, which is illustrated beautifully by these young artists," said art instructor Barbara Steinberg, BFA.
Maui Kindness Club art classes, for keiki ages 6 to 12, focus on animals and plants of Hawai'i, and protecting the environment.

"A video shown at this reception produced by In Defense of Animals supporters captured the importance of the use of the term 'guardian' when referring to our relationships with the very special beings with whom we share our lives, our homes and our planet," said Steinberg.
The next series of nine-week art classes will be conducted on Wednesdays from Jan. 30 to March 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. each week at the Kihei Community Center. To enroll, call Steinberg at 879-0025.
