Volunteer Work Party at Leilani Farm Sanctuary

Help celebrate the 52nd birthday of Leilani Farm Sanctuary Founder Laurelee Blanchard at a volunteer work party in Ha'iku on Saturday, Jan. 26, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Projects may include cleaning the barn, gardening, spreading wood chips, animal grooming, handyperson jobs, deck cleaning, tree trimming, manure collection, weed whacking, mulching, window washing, rabbit pen cleaning, chain sawing, chipping, painting, carpentry, trail maintenance, invasive plant removal, fence installation/repair, and more.

Wear closed-toe shoes, work clothes and bring a rain jacket. If possible, also bring gloves, shovels, buckets and rakes for spreading wood chips on trails.

"No birthday presents, please, but tax-deductible donations to Leilani Farm Sanctuary are always appreciated," said Blanchard.
