Karin Frost, founder and chief design officer of ERGObaby Carrier Inc., will appear as the featured speaker in Maui Economic Development Board's ongoing innovation series. Out of her personal need as a mother and with background in design, Frost created the ERGObaby carrier. She believed that her design had ergonomic and psychological benefits to both parent and baby. Parenting magazine's 20th anniversary issue named the ERGObaby carrier as one of the top 20 products in the last 20 years. The magazine had based its rating on feedback from moms who had evaluated baby products. The event is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Iao Theater in Wailuku.
