On Friday, Feb. 1, parking in the north lot at the Ma'alaea Triangle, home to the Maui Ocean Center and Ma'alaea Harbor Shops, began charging for parking in the north parking lot located mauka of Hauoli Street. The south lot, makai of Hauoli Street, will remain free to patrons of the Maui Ocean Center and the Ma'alaea Harbor Shops. Parking in the north lot is $5 per day and is monitored by an attendant. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment at the parking lot pay booths.
