The 4th Annual Hawai'i STEM Conference, a program of Maui Economic Development Board, Inc. Women in Technology Project, took place on April 19 and 20 at the Wailea Marriott Beach Resort & Spa. Hundreds of STEM/Service Learning and Digital Media students, teachers, parents, community and business leaders from across the state gathered to celebrate their work over the past year, share stories and meet other students from different islands.
This year, national partners Google, SketchUp, National Geographic and key Hawai'i partners conducted stimulating hands-on sessions, and presented the latest information on a wide range of engaging and informative STEM topics.
The STEM Conference’s goal is to inspire and challenge Hawai‘i STEM students to become creative, intuitive, adaptable learners who can solve unpredictable, real-world problems.
