Waste Dynamics

Meeting will explore Maui County’s present and future waste management plans with an international and sustainability perspective.

Upcountry Sustainability will host a presentation on waste management on Monday, May 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pukalani Community Center's poolroom annex (adjacent to the pool, across from Foodland).

The featured speakers will be Kyle Ginoza, director of environmental management for Maui County, and Dr. Jennifer Chirico, executive director of the Sustainable Living Institute of Maui.

Dr. Chirico will cover the international perspective on current waste management best practices, with a view toward sustainability.

Director Ginoza will describe Maui County's present waste management landscape, its opportunities and proposed future projects.
