It was reported that when the Kihei Community Association (KCA) was established over a half-century ago, the two major community concerns were water and roads.
"Most KCA members agree that has not changed," said KCA President Mike Moran.
This month, KCA will feature a wealth of knowledgeable sources concerning the regional water situation. State Commissioner of Water Resource Management Jonathan Starr, and permaculturist and past Maui County Water Supply Board Chair Michael Howden will discuss past and present water issues. Environmental scientist Robin Knox will present an update on the mass undertaking she has helped develop--the Southwest Maui Watershed Project findings.
