It’s Time to Grow for Maui Fair Horticultural Contests

June 6, 2013
Maui Weekly

It's time to start growing your garden to compete in the Maui Fair horticultural contests. This year, the fair will hold several contests so everyone can enter--even if you live in an apartment.

Now is the time to plant your seeds for the Giant Pumpkin Contest.

Make sure you have a large enough space before picking up the seed at the University of Hawai'i (UH) Cooperative Extension Office next to the UH Maui Campus. Seeds will be distributed this month and should be planted as soon as possible for maximum growth. Growing instructions will be provided.
