A 1999 graduate of St. Anthony Junior-Senior High School, MLB superstar Victorino established the Shane Victorino Foundation to promote opportunities for children in need. He wanted to give back his St. Anthony 'ohana and to the community that has supported him throughout his career.
Victorino created the Shane Victorino Foundation Tuition Assistance fund for the express purpose of providing other students an opportunity, similar to that which he was given when he was a student at the school. The fund provides tuition assistance to student-athletes who display sportsmanship, dedication and commitment to achieve academic as well as athletic excellence, maintaining a GPA of 3.0.
