Imua Family Services has announced the appointment of Karen Worthington as president of its board of directors.
Worthington is a children's law attorney with a national consulting and writing business focused on child maltreatment and juvenile justice. Karen Worthington Consulting helps nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and foundations use research to improve outcomes for children and families through policy development, legislative advocacy, research and analysis, and strategic partnerships.
Worthington is an active member of the Maui child advocacy community. In addition to serving on the board of Imua Family Services, she serves on the Hanai Coalition, and the Kula School PTA. She is also a member of the Hawai'i Children's Trust Fund Coalition and is a lecturer with the University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Social Sciences.
