The Face Place, South Kihei's exclusive skincare and massage clinic, is the place to indulge your senses and start the journey to relax your mind, body and spirit. It is the ultimate place to be pampered with luxurious treatments to improve skin and circulation while restoring a youthful, healthy appearance.

"All aspects of our facials and massage are designed for your personal skincare needs," said Owner and Esthetician Jeannie Pereira. "Our goal is to offer in-depth consultations and make recommendations, providing you with the most effective results."

Pereira, who received her Hawai'i Esthetician License in 1992, founded the Face Place Skin Care Clinic in 2002. She has over 18 years of experience and has held leadership positions in some of Hawai'i's top spas, including the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel and Spa, Four Seasons and the Fairmont Kea Lani.

The Face Place Owner and Esthetician Jeannie Pereira provides a sanctuary right in the heart of Kīhei, where clients receive the highest quality professional care.

Her positive energy, commitment and passion led her to envision a top-ranked facial and massage studio--a sanctuary right in the heart of Kihei, where clients would receive the highest quality professional care.

Pereira was also involved with the opening of the Aesthetica Maui Clinic in 1996. There, she worked with dermatologists Dr. George Martin and Dr. Kenny Malott, offering pre- and post-laser services, as well as facials and corrective peels.

With several additional certifications to her credit, Pereira was ready to open her own business.

"Thus, in 2002, the Face Place was born," said Pereira. "Just two years after opening, Hawai'i Magazine named it 'The greatest new find in Kihei for facials and massage services,'" she noted.

Pereira's exceptional dedication to her profession has led her to attend international skincare conferences each year, where she has the opportunity to receive the most up-to-date education available on new skincare technologies and products.

Currently, she continues a close working relationship with Dr. Martin and Dr. Brian Stolley for her patients with extra skincare needs.

"Every day, we are exposed to the elements--stress, pollution, toxins--and most importantly, sunlight," said Pereira.

All these produce free radicals, chemically reactive ionized molecules that lead to skin damage and aging.

Free radicals destroy the chemical makeup of skin cells, preventing them from functioning properly, causing our skin to deteriorate.

"Antioxidants are the most natural defense against free radical damage," she said. "They restore and protect skin from damage."

This past summer, Pereira met with two internationally acclaimed chemists and designed a serum formulation using apple stem cells from Switzerland. Infused with ultrasound, the new serum is used in Pereira's most recent Ultrasonic Facial to replenish the skin.

"Ultrasound technology stimulates muscles, promoting collagen regeneration and skin tightening," said Pereira.

"This is an amazing facial with Swiss apple stem cell extracts," she said, noting that a retail product is also available to continue the effects of this remarkable treatment at home.

In addition to well-known treatments, such as microdermabrasion, clinical corrective peels, acne treatments, Visage, specialty facials, massage and much more, Pereira continues to add new procedures that address skin rejuvenation.

The innovative Face Place Diamond and 24K Gold facial begins with diamond microdermabrasion, a gentle but effective resurfacing of the skin, which removes imperfections.

"This treatment is then combined with our high-end technology utilizing 24-karat gold to soften, lift and firm the skin," said Pereira.

All the new specialty rejuvenation facials assist in keeping your skin free of toxins. Instant results occur when Pereira uses the certified organic Swiss Luzern products containing the highest quality oxygen, vitamins, minerals, peptides and amino acids available.

"That is why our new HydraFacial is so important," Pereira said.

"Not only does it remove surface damage, such as dead skin cells and impurities, but it also replenishes the skin with antioxidants through Vortex-Fusion, the most advanced application of nutrients to the skin."

"We are taking skin care to new heights via our exclusive PureBlueO2 oxygen machine," said Pereira. "By using one or more of Luzern's 10 high-potency Bio-Swiss organic serums, this oxygen facial diminishes wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and loss of elasticity."

Pereira has designed an extensive facial and massage menu, including waxing and tinting services, with treatments for men, women and teens. In addition, each facial and massage includes state-of-the-art, pharmaceutical-grade natural products, which are also for sale in the clinic.

The Face Place massage therapists are a group of exceptional therapists who assess and customize each session for the most optimal benefit for their client. They specialize in spa therapies as well as therapeutic and rehabilitation work.

"Our team--Mona Bell, Robin Bolos, Joette Black and Rob Rice--use a combination of multiple modalities and specific corrective massage techniques designed to relax or to relieve chronic pain in specific areas of the body," said Principal Licensed Massage Therapist Shannyn Doran.

"Massage is a powerful tool to help you take charge of your health and well-being," said Doran. "More than an indulgence, massage therapy can help your health and well-being and reduce aches and pains.

"And, wonderful for any occasion, a Face Place gift certificate is a great idea for spouse, friend or family member," Doran added.

Find your balance of inner peace and pampering at the Face Place located in the Rainbow Mall, 2439 South Kihei Road, Ste. 208-B, in Kihei.
