Queen Ka'ahumanu Center announced last week that Bautista Filipino Kitchen will open its first restaurant location in the Neighbor Islands at the center's food court this October.
Bautista Filipino Kitchen, also known as BFK Express, currently has three locations on O'ahu, operating in Hawai'i for more than 27 years.
Corporate president Maria Bautista-Marcus said the menu at the new location will feature Filipino foods with a Euro twist, including dishes such as "paella" and a variety of pastries.
"We're excited to welcome this popular O'ahu restaurant to our community and our center," said Todd A. Vines, marketing manager of Queen Ka'ahumanu Center. "The addition of Bautista Filipino Kitchen offers yet another quality option in an already diverse field of food and drink establishments at Queen Ka'ahumanu Center."
BFK is also scheduled to open locations in Las Vegas and in Orange County in the coming months.
