The Golf Tournament Committee has announced Habitat for Humanity Maui's 13th Annual Golf Extravaganza Tournament in Waikapu on Nov. 2. Golfers, sponsors and volunteers are being sought to support Habitat for Humanity Maui.
"This year's event will be held at the beautiful Kahili Golf Course," said Habitat for Humanity Maui Executive Director Sherri Dodson. "We have lots of prizes--even the last place team receives a prize!"
Good golfers and great golfers all have a chance to win. Each year, the prizes are awarded for lowest net score, last place and the place that celebrates the year of the event. This year, 13th place will receive the top prize.
Habitat for Humanity Maui’s 13th Annual Golf Extravaganza Tournament will be held at the Kahili Golf Course in Waikapu.
In addition there will be a putting contest, and a closest-to-the-pin and a longest-drive competition. There will also be two chances offered for a hole in one to win a Harley Davidson Motorcycle from Cycle City or a BMW from BMW Maui.
"Co-sponsors BMW Maui and Cycle City are helping to reach our mission of eliminating homelessness on Maui," said Dodson.
Golfers will also enjoy live entertainment featuring Old, Maui's best oldies band. Golfers and guests will be treated to a continental breakfast, lunch, a great silent and live auction, and many door prizes will be given away.
The after-tournament award party will be held in the Nahele Banquet Room.
"This will be a day of fun, but it will also help families in need of a simple decent place to live," said Dodson. "Each year, Habitat for Humanity Maui's Golf Tournament fundraiser is a success because of you."
All the proceeds from the event will help fight homelessness and substandard housing on Maui.
The Shot Gun start will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a four-person scramble.
The entry fee is $175 per player and $700 for team of four.
