The Josh Jerman Foundation is accepting applications for the 10th annual Josh Jerman Maui Nui Scholarship, a program that encourages college-bound students to use their education to benefit Maui County.
Founded by Josh Jerman of Hawai'i Life Real Estate Brokers, the scholarship program awards three high school seniors $1,000 each based on their plans to contribute to Maui County's workforce after graduation.
To be eligible, students must be Maui County residents who plan to enroll in a full-time program at an accredited four-year college or university (for the 2014-15 academic year). In addition, applicants must demonstrate financial need and dedication to the achievement of their personal and educational goals.
The scholarship is open to all Maui County high school seniors. To apply, students can download and complete the application at www.joshjermanfoundation.org or pick up a copy from their respective school counselors.
The application deadline is Feb. 20, 2014; scholarship recipients will be notified of their award by mail by the end of March. To learn more about the scholarship requirements and deadlines, visit www.joshjermanfoundation.org, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (808) 283-2222.
To date, the program has awarded more than $29,000 in scholarships to Maui, Molokai and Lana'i high school seniors.
