Maui Weekly

The Maui County Office on Aging will offer an EnhanceFitness Instructor Training in February. EnhanceFitness is an award-winning, evidence-based fitness program for older adults.

The program is designed to be safe and effective for seniors with a wide range of physical abilities. Ongoing EnhanceFitness classes meet one hour, three times a week at various locations around Maui County. Fitness assessments are conducted on a regular basis.

To be eligible for the instructor training, new instructors must already be certified by a nationally recognized fitness organization such as ACSM, ACE, AFAA or the YMCA, and have a current CPR/AED card.

The 12-hour training will be held at Kaunoa Senior Center on Friday, Feb. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $40.

To register or for more information, call Paula Keele at 870-5530.
