Second Annual Taste of School Gardens to be Held at Hotel Wailea

The Second 2nd Annual Grow Some Good: The Taste of School Gardens fundraiser will return to Hotel Wailea on Saturday, March 8, from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Local chefs and school garden supporters will celebrate all the good things growing for more than 2,500 students in South and Central Maui school garden programs.

Grow Some Good school garden programs are planting seeds for Maui?s next generation of farmers, chefs, teachers, scientists and entrepreneurs.

Fine wines, local brews, music, an incredible auction and a gorgeous sunset view will greet this gathering of ?ohana, growing a bountiful future on Maui.

Dean Wong, executive director of Imua Family Services, will serve as this year's master of ceremonies.

Entertainment will be provided by the BrownChicken BrownCow String Band.

Hotel Wailea?s Sunset Lawn will host a nine-station sampling of gourmet dishes prepared from school garden-grown ingredients prepared by Maui?s top chefs, including:
