The Maui Arts & Cultural Center (The MACC) will present the Minneapolis-based dance and music ensemble, Rhythmic Circus, at 7:30 p.m. in the Castle Theater on Friday, March 14, with their hit show, "Feet Don't Fail Me Now!" The dynamic tap and music performance mixes hard-hitting percussive dance and a live rock band, plus a one-man beat-box phenomenon--guaranteed to enthrall audiences of all ages with its medley of positivity and infectious rhythms.
From a cappella singing and tap to a percussive chair routine (think "STOMP") to an acoustic number inspired by a front-porch, down-home jam session, "Feet Don't Fail Me Now!" is a genre-hopping hour-and-a-half of rock, blues and soul.
Three guys and a gal combine rapid-fire tap talent with the big, brass sound of a seven-piece band and "vocal percussionist" Aaron "Heatbox" Heaton. It's easy to see why this show earned a 2012 Edinburgh Festival Fringe Spirit of the Fringe Award.
