On Monday, Feb. 24, our Girls Junior Midgets Division played two games.

The Sparkys rolled past the Lady Wolves 26-4 behind Keali'a Sjostrand's eight points.

Next up, the Con3 Jacks got by the Phenoms 24-14 with Cailyn Ukida leading the way with eight points. Ronne Butihi led the Phenoms with six points.

On Saturday, March 8, at Pa'ia Gym, Cailyn Ukida's six points led the Con3 Jacks to a 14-3 win over the Sparkys.

In an overtime game, the Phenoms and Lady Wolves battled to a 26-26 tie. Ronie Butihi and Reizel Yadao topped the Phenoms with eight points each. Quincee Tanaka and Taylor Eldrege scored six points each for the Lady Wolves.

At Kalama Park on Monday, March 10, the Sparkys got by the Phenoms 18-8 with Taylor Nishimura scoring six points. Tyra Delos Reyes scored six points for the Phenoms.

Con3 Jacks defeated the Lady Wolves 18-6 with Alea Kimokea leading the way with six points.

The playoffs will be held Monday, Mar. 31, at Kalama Park.


Wednesday, Feb. 26, saw Boys Fryers Division action at Kamali'i School.

Swag remained undefeated after their 22-14 win over the Youngstars. Brayden Rodrigues scored 10 points for Swag. Chayden Kekona's four points were tops for the Youngstars.

Next, the Sixers got by the Thunder by the same 22-14 score. Byron Joiner tallied 10 points for the Sixers, while Crash Conmy's eight points led the Thunder.

Finishing up the day, the Phenoms ran past the Wolves 32-12 behind 14 points from Jermaine Baguyo.

On Wednesday, March 12, Swag overcame the Wolves 40-22. Brayden Rodrigues scored 18 points for Swag. Morgan Kelly led the Wolves with six points.

The Youngstars and Thunder tied it up at 20 all. Chayden Kekona and Na'i Hasegawa both scored eight points for Youngstars. Ryan Galusky scored a game-high 10 points for the Thunder.

The Phenoms beat out the Sixers 28-6. Jermiane Baguyo led the Phenoms with 14 points. Keagan Klahr led the Sixers with 10 points.

The Fryers Division playoffs are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Mar. 27 and 28.


On Thursday, Feb. 27, Boys Junior Midgets games wrapped up the week's play, starting with the Clippers winning their seventh straight game, 28-6 over the outmanned Hot Shots. Twins Vinc and Vincen Charley combined to score 14 points to pace the Clippers who remain unbeaten and in first place.

Kobe Gonzales scored 10 points as the Lil Rebels defeated the Phenoms 18-11. Jered Reyes led the Phenoms with seven points.

The final SMYBL game of the week was a 22-18 Flames victory over the Blue Devils. Ethan Takara's six points led the Flames.

On Saturday, March 8, at Pa'ia Gym, the Blue Devils outshot the Hot Shots 19-16. Eddie Biegel scored eight points, and Keni Blue Geiser five points to lead the Blue Devils. Noah Reisenauer scored six points to lead the Hot Shots.

Lil Rebels ties the Flames 15 all. The game ended in a tie after one overtime period. Kobe Gonzales scored seven points for Lil Rebels. Ethan Takara scored a game-high eight points to lead the Flames.

The Clippers defeated the Phenoms 25-14. Evan Wellerstein and Alan Vigneux scored six points each for the Clippers. Slade Scozzafava had six points for the Phenoms.

On Tuesday, March 11, the Kihei Boyz rolled past the Phenoms 45-11 with Isaia Chee and Viliami Makoni each scoring 12 points.

Ben Janssen's game-high 13 points led the Rockets over the Con3 Jacks 25-14.

The Flames overwhelmed the Wolverines 48-6 with Bryceton Boco scoring eight points.

On Thursday, March 13, the Phenoms defeated the Flames 11-8. Jered Reyes topped Phenoms with five points.

The Clippers completed an unbeaten 10-0 season after their 22-4 win over the Blue Devils. Toa Afemui led the way with eight points.

Lil Rebels defeated the Hot Shots 33-3 with Kobe Gonzales scoring 15 points.

The playoffs are scheduled for Saturday, March 29, at Kalama Park. Results will be published in an upcoming issue.
