Join OluKai, Suzie Cooney and Archie Kalepa for a three-mile "Practice Paddle" and eight-mile Maliko "Training Paddle" on Saturday, April 12.
Grab your stand up paddle board (SUP), OC-1 or OC-2 canoe for a downwinder with other first-timers or beginners for the "Practice Paddle" for The 6th Annual OluKai Ho'olaule'a May on 10 and 11.
The three-mile "Practice Paddle" with Suzie Cooney will begin at the Pa'ia Youth and Cultural Center in Paia Bay at 9 a.m. Participants should arrive at 8 a.m. to prepare. Then, Suzie will lead the three- miles downwind to the Kanaha Beach lifeguard tower.

The eight-mile Maliko "Training Paddle" with Archie Kalepa begins at Maliko Bay at 2 p.m. Arrive at 1 p.m. to prepare. Archie will lead the eight-mile downwind to the Kanaha Beach lifeguard tower.
The OluKai Ho'olaule'a pre-registration party will be hosted by OluKai and Adventure Sports Maui in Kahului from 4 to 6 p.m. Complimentary drinks and pupu will be served.
Paddlers need to provide their own transportation and equipment. The events are free.
Eight-mile Maliko SUP or Oc1-2 paddlers entering the May event must sign up online before May 9 to receive complimentary OluKai slippers.
