The South Maui Youth Basketball League (SMYBL) Fryers Division finished up another fun season with two days of playoffs on March 27 and 28 at Kamali'i School.
Undefeated two-time champ Swag got it all started with a 38-26 win over the Thunder. Brayden Rodrigues scored 26 points for Swag, and Ryan Galusky had 16 points for the Thunder.

Next, the Youngstars upset the No. 2 Phenoms 32-28 behind Na'i Hasegawa's 10 points. Jeiven Agaran scored a game-high 12 points in a losing cause for the Phenoms.
Keagan Klahr's six points was tops for the Sixers as they handed the Wolves a 22-10 loss. Revaldi Mohammed led the Wolves with eight points.
On March 28, the Youngstars came up with another upset, this time defeating the favored Sixers 24-20. Na'i Hasegawa and brothers Chayden and Ayden Kekona each scored eight points for the Youngstars as they reached the championship game against Swag.
After a close first half, Swag pulled away in the second half for a 30-14 win to claim their third straight Fryer's Division championship. Brayden Rodrigues once again led the way, scoring 14 points, with Shiloh Delos Reyes chipping in with six points. Cason Pacheco-Pinheiro scored six points for the Youngstars.

GIRLS JUNIOR MIDGETS
On March 31, the SMYBL Girls Junior Midgets playoffs took place. Con3 Jacks got eight points from Cailyn Ukida and defeated the Lady Wolves 18-8. Taylor Eldredge led the Lady Wolves with six points.
Keali'a Sjostrand's six points helped the Sparky's roll over the Phenoms 17-4.
Cailyn Ukida scored another eight points, leading the Con3 Jacks to a 14-10 championship-game victory over the Sparky's.
In the SMYBL Midgets Division, the Wolverines got the Tuesday, April 1, games going with 22-18 win over the Phenoms. Daniel Sturgeon hit two three-pointers for six points to lead the Wolverines. Next, the unbeaten Flames continued their streak after a 38-7 win over the Con3 Jacks. Brothers Michael and Efron Villon combined to score 26 of the Flames points.
Isaiah Richards scored 11 points as 808 Elite ran past the Rockets 41-17. Ben Janssen scored 15 of the Rockets' points.
On Wednesday, April 2, Viliami Makoni scored 12 points as the Kihei Boyz beat the inexperienced all-girl Con3 Jacks 31-1.
Asa Tua scored 10 points for 808 Elite in their 28-7 win over the Phenoms.
After a close first half, the Flames wore down the Rockets in the second half, winning 36-20. Bryceton Boco's nine points led the Flames.
After two weather-related postponements, the Junior Midgets played on April 3 and 4. Results will be here next time.
