Young Creatives: Inside My World

May 8, 2014
Maui Weekly

The Schaefer International Gallery at Maui Arts & Cultural Center (The MACC) will host "Young Creatives: Inside My World," a student art exhibition, from Sunday, May 4 through Saturday, May 24 (closed to the public on Saturday, May 17). The gallery is also open before Castle Theater shows and during intermissions.

This exhibit is free and open to the public every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come and support Maui's young artists!

The "Young Creatives: Inside My World" exhibition is a showcase for the work of high school students from across Maui who participated in The MACC's "Art-Rageous" 2013 summer program. As part of The MACC's commitment to art education for Maui's youth, the "Art-Rageous" Summer Program was launched in July 2013 as an opportunity for promising young visual artists of high school age to mentor with artist-in-residence Wes Bruce. Drawing from that experience, they have launched new works that form the foundation of this exhibit.
