Intriguing beer names, great label designs, new taste treat sensations--it's all there for microbrewery and craft brew lovers to tap into when the 6th Annual Maui Brewers Festival rolls into the amphitheater and pavilion at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (The MACC) this Saturday, May 17, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Maui Brewers Festival is a jam-packed value for foodies. It's a chance to taste some of the island's best pupu and pair them with some of the craftiest brews from Hawai'i and the Mainland--beverages not found anywhere else on the island on a daily basis.

Maui Brewers Festival is a fundraiser for The MACC's arts and community programs and a fun afternoon for everyone involved.

Craft brew lovers will soon gather for the 6th Annual Maui Brewers Festival at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Saturday, May 17, from 4 to 7 p.m.

On stage, the entertainment line-up includes three hot Maui bands: The Throwdowns, Jamie Gallo with Simply Twisted and LiA LiVE & HI ground.

Fine quality, official festival T-shirts made especially for the Maui Brewers Festival each year by Crazy Shirts will be available for purchase.

There will be prize giveaways throughout the day.

This year, the festival will feature two or more craft brews each from almost 30 breweries. Some of the enticing tastes promised in the pours include, The Red Sea of Cacao, Mother Pucker Raspberry Sour, Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout, Liver Let Die, Hemp Brown Ale, Lorenzini Blood Orange Double IPA, Peppered Porter Cask, Total Domination IPA, Mama's Little Yella Pilsner, Lemongrass Luau and Saison de Mule with Ginger & Lime. A wide variety of rare beers will also be offered, as well as fresh-brewed root beer and hard apple cider.

The participating breweries in the Maui Brewers Festival are selected for their commitment to making craft beer with attention to quality, flavor and locally sourced ingredients. (But fun names and labels help, too!)

Festival-goers will enjoy sampling from the vast selection of 60-plus craft beers as they graze the island-style dishes offered by favorite local purveyors. There are mouth-watering menu items, such as French onion Guinness soup, MBC Coconut Porter cheese soup, beer-infused ice pops, bacon-maple mini donuts, German lentils and sausage with spaetzle, gourmet hot dogs and French fries with island sauces, "plenny" kinds of sliders, pizzas and ribs... the list goes on and on!

There are also many vegetarian options, including lumpia, pub bowls, pizza, soups, salads and sweets. It is a walkable feast!

Advance purchase price for general admission tickets to Maui Brewers Festival is $60 per person, which includes eight 4-ounce pours of beer, a commemorative beer glass, 'ono pupu and event parking. On the day of the festival, the general admission ticket price is $70. Call (808) 242-SHOW (7469) or order online at MauiArts.org.
