"Above and Below Ocean Photography" by John O'Leary will be the Lahaina Arts Society's featured exhibit in the Old Jail Gallery in the Old Courthouse in Lahaina through June 1.
He began his career by photographing wildlife in rivers and lakes in his home state of Illinois. That passion led to a degree in marine biology and relocation to Maui, where he currently works at the Maui Ocean Center.
The self-taught artist likes to share fleeting moments he captures while snorkeling or perched in a tree surrounded by beautiful Maui landscapes.
