The public is invited to enjoy Kukuna Kaiao, a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise and the University of Hawai'i Maui College (UHMC) Institute of Hawaiian Music (IHM), which will be hosted by Grammy award-winning George Kahumouku Jr.
The event, which will be held on Saturday, May 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Beach Bums Restaurant on the lower level of the Ma'alaea Harbor Shops, will include an all-you-can eat barbecue buffet spread "fit for a king," said event organizers.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the students of the UHMC IHM.
Grammy Award-winning George Kahumoku Jr. will serve as host and emcee at the Kukuna Kaiao fundraiser.
Kukuna Kaiao will include silent and live auctions. The live auction item is a five-course Persian dinner for eight offered by "Chef Fely."
The cost for this great Saturday afternoon of wonderful food and great music is $45.
The Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise will contribute a portion of the proceeds to the UHMC IHM scholarship program.
