In celebration of Mental Health Month, Kuleana Connections, sponsored by the Ho'omoana Foundation, invites participants to join in a "Sign Waving for Mental Health" event on Ka'ahumanu Avenue in front of Macy's on Saturday, May 24, from 10.30 to 11.30 a.m. The event is being held for the second time on Maui to bring positive awareness and education regarding mental health.
Participants should park in the Queen Ka'ahumanu parking lot in front of Macy's, but close to Ka'ahumanu Avenue, and meet in front of the parking lot on the sidewalk.
The event will be held "rain or shine."
The “Sign Waving for Mental Health” event is being held for the second time on Maui to bring positive awareness and education regarding mental health.
"Please join us and bring a friend in a show of dignity and pride for all we have accomplished and to demonstrate we aim to continue our support of the mental health community," said Ho'omoana's Lisa Darcy. "Make a sign and wave it in support mental health."
Participants are also encouraged to distribute literature about their organization.
