Celebrate summer at Kihei Fourth Friday Town Party

Enjoy food, art, crafts and plenty of great shopping deals.

Come to the south shore of Maui for Kihei's Fourth Friday Town Party on July 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Azeka Shopping Center-Mauka, the "heart and soul" of Kihei. Enjoy a night out as "Kihei Celebrates Summer" with The Haiku Hillbillys and Sunshine Garcia Band. Kathy Collins will serve as emcee.

Enjoy food, art, crafts and plenty of great shopping deals. Other highlights include the popular Keiki/Youth Zone, games, activities, bubbles, face painting and more. Joshua On Maui will be performing in the Food Court. Bring a non-perishable food donation for the Maui Food Bank.

The town party will open at 6 p.m. with a Hawaiian blessing and invocation by Cultural Advisor Kimokeo Kapahulehua, followed by announcements by Collins from 6:05 to 6:10 p.m.

The Kihei Fourth Friday Steering Committee, a 100 percent volunteer panel, recently welcomed Secretary Mike Elam. Pat Mulligan returns to the panel as chair. Darci Palmer volunteers as co-chair, and Lynn Miller as treasurer. The rest of the members are: Debbie Eads Probst-Entertainment and Marketing Director; Erik Blair-Social Media; Carey Nail Owen-Food Court Queen; Penny Palmer-Retail Vendor Chair and Photographer; Pablo Frate-Logistics and Volunteer Chair; Evelyn Long-Azeka Representative, Logistics and Azeka Merchant Liaison; Kristyn Ewing-Azeka Merchant Liaison and Logistics Committee Member; Miranda Kawaiola-Marketing and Volunteer Committee Member; Juddee Kawaiola-Marketing and Volunteer Committee Member; and Deejays Money Mike and Dan, who help make the Keiki Zone the Fun Zone!

Maui Friday Town Parties is an initiative developed by the Maui County Office of Economic Development to showcase our island's historic towns and celebrate the unique nature of their business communities. There is a town party nearly every Friday of the month: Wailuku First Friday, Lahaina Second Friday, Makawao Third Friday and Kihei Fourth Friday.
