Maui’s Rotary Clubs Collect School Supplies

August 19, 2014
Maui Weekly

For the eighth consecutive year, members of all Rotary clubs on Maui recently collected school supplies and monetary donations for the children of Maui. Together, the nine clubs collected 136 bags of supplies and $2,785 in cash. Each club selected a school to receive the supplies and cash.

Monetary donations were also distributed to the Keiki Kupboard program at six schools and to the Kihei Youth Center.

The Rotary clubs on Maui thank Longs in Kihei, Lahaina, Kahului, Kulamalu and Maui Lani; Walmart; and Walgreens in Lahaina for allowing them to accept donations.

Rotary club members would also like to recognize the generous contributions of each and every person to donated supplies and cash contributions.

This island-wide School Supplies Drive was one of the many community service projects sponsored by Maui's Rotary clubs.
