Pacific Business News - After just six months on the job, Maui Land & Pineapple (ML&P) President and CEO Robert Webber has decided to resign. Webber joined the company in May 2006 as chief financial officer and senior vice president of business development. By March of 2008, he was promoted to chief operating officer, chief financial officer and executive vice president. He took over for David Cole as president and CEO this last January, but revealed recently that his last day would Friday, May 22. In a statement, Webber disclosed that it was a pleasure to serve his colleagues, but that it was the right time for him to “transition and pursue other opportunities.” The Kahului-based ML&P is currently searching for someone to replace Webber; the board of directors has appointed Warren Haruki as chairman and interim CEO.
