Maui businesswoman makes “Forty Under 40” list

June 18, 2009
Maui Weekly

Pacific Business News recently named long-time Maui resident and PlayBook Consulting Group President Leslie Mullens to its Hawai‘i’s “Forty Under 40” list. The annual award recognizes the best and brightest business leaders who have made an immense impact in their community and across the state. Mullens is one of three from the neighbor islands—the other 37 are reportedly from O‘ahu. Mullens developed PlayBook Consulting Group in 2006 in response to a “pervasive need for strategic direction, productivity improvement and sustainability in organizations across the state.” With nearly a decade of expertise in the corporate strategic and business world with high-tech Cisco Systems Inc., she began the management/consulting firm with the goal to improve the capacity of complex corporations, small businesses and nonprofits serve their community and succeed financially. She believes her success lies within her motto, “Find a Need; Fill a Need” and thinks her “easy-to-implement roadmaps” have and can continue to help companies during this economic downturn. For more information on the PlayBook Consulting Group and Mullens’ efforts in our business community, visit www.ThePlayBookGroup.com. The “Forty Under 40” awards ceremony will be held at Honolulu’s Hawai‘i Convention Center on Thursday night, June 25.
