Maui Yoga & Kickboxing (MYK) will open its doors to the public on Wednesday, July 1, in Kihei and offers total body fitness through functional yoga, Bikram Yoga, Hot Yoga, boxing, kickboxing and cardio-aerobic conditioning classes. Owners/operators Mary Grace and James Onnikian have taught both large and private classes for years. As a team, they are a powerful force in helping students develop balance and strength with flexibility. Their goal is to help people discover the benefits of yoga, boxing and kickboxing. Grace has been teaching Bikram yoga since graduating from Bikram’s Yoga College of India in 2000, and has two thriving yoga studios in New York. Onnikian has won titles in both boxing and kickboxing, including a Golden Glove and world title from the United States Kickboxing Association. He has also trained with many MMA (mixed martial arts) greats, has taught an array of exercise classes in NY for nearly 15 years and is also yoga master. Maui Yoga & Kickboxing is located upstairs at 115 E. Lipoa St. in Kihei. Call 463-8811 and visit www.mauihotyoga.com and www.mauikickboxing.com for more information. Right now you can get one week of unlimited classes for $30—one time only—through the end of July.
