Visiting Maui

The next time you have a tsunami and shut the water off why not place Big Johns at the so called evacuation centers? Actually they should in place at those centers year around.Ishutter to think what week would be like without water.

Sights and sounds, this is a big part of Maui to me. Once you deplane, the smells of flowers and the ocean are with you. The sounds of the ocean and Dove birds are to be heard. Maui is a beautiful island. I recommend you drive up Haleakala to the state park and visit the lavender farm on your way in/out.

If you are a water person, snorkel the back side of Lanai on Wave Riders, dine at the Waterfront in Maalaea or Mama's Fish House in Paia, or Merriman's in Kapalua. A helicopter ride with Sunshine Helicopters will give you a bird's eye view of Paradise. There are plenty of FREE things to do. Hike Iao Valley, or walk the shoreline from Sugar Beach to Maalaea. Must do some snorkeling, take surf lessons from Maui Wave Riders, go to Old LaHaina Luau (best on island), make some drinks sit by the ocean and watch the most amazing sunsets (free!)rent a car and drive to different parts of the Island, visit the Aloha Mix Plate for a great plate lunch at the beach!!!
