Posted 323 days ago. westmauitedSights and sounds, this is a big part of Maui to me. Once you deplane, the smells of flowers and the ocean are with you. The sounds of the ocean and Dove birds are to be heard. The smells of the resturants and resort flowers. The wonderful shops with the ever smiling local people having plate lunches, and the always "Mahalo" The art shops and the surfers cutting waves. What a wonderful place Maui is. A helicopter ride with Sunshine Helicopters will give you a bird's eye view of Paradise. There are plenty of FREE things to do. Hike Iao Valley, or walk the shoreline from Sugar Beach to Maalaea.
