Informers tells 911 there’s a crowded cockfight and illegal betting going on just off Hana Highway. About 10 spotters with cell phones are reportedly keeping an eye out for cops. Police dispatched.

Vehicle fire on Holomua Road off Hana Highway. MFD Engine 2.

Motorcycle and rider said crashed way up Crater Road. MFD Engine 13 asked to help the remove bike from blocking the common roadway. No 911 words regarding riders condition.

Caller complains of harassment by “those people at the beach.” Squad car.

Hillside gas station complains that a construction truck banged their fence, then fled the scene. Cops given description and license plates.

Truck on Mokulele Highway left Central Maui Baseyard with uncovered load. Things flying out, callers complain to 911. Police alerted.
11:10 a.m., Makawao
Alarmed caller says heard four loud gunshots at Hawaiian Homes. Then, a Black Jeep Cherokee, male driver, sped past her home. Police go.

Multiple motor vehicles crash near Waiko Road. One elderly female said to be unconscious. Medics, police, fire.

Adult male almost sawed off two of his own fingertips—ring and middle fingers. “Not completely off but they appear shattered” quotes one caller. Emergency responders go.

“Code 1 (cars crash) blocking facing traffic,” at the intersection of Haleakala Highway and Old Haleakala bypass. Injuries, say callers. Emergency response from Makawao includes police, medics, fire. “Woman complaining of chest pains,” says first arriving police officer. “Front end damage,” says another. “Low impact collision”

Report of fire at small house that has a propane tank attached. Fire units extinguish it quickly.
9:52 a.m., Olowalu
Plume of smoke seen rising from distant, hilly gulch area. “Looks like half-mile mauka, up in the in West Maui hills,” says one caller. Fire units head there, on spreading brush fire alert.
10:02 a.m., Ho‘okipa
“Vehicle just turned toward the shoreline, unrestrained child on drivers lap,” says 911. Advisory broadcast.
10:25 a.m., Makawao
Neighbors says, “Send help.” Only going by sounds, but believes abuse is going on next door. Police go.
11:15 a.m., Kahului
Woman calls 911 frantic that her “boyfriend is bleeding from the stomach.” “Don’t know if he stabbed himself or what,” says 911. Units go emergency. The guy involved tells them he was “sharpening his knife and it slipped.” Declines medics.

“Long-haired male inside library harassing and threatening various employees,” says 911. Squad car.
3 p.m., Out Kaho‘olawe way
Boat about 20 feet long said “taking on water” in mayday call to Coast Guard. Various Maui emergency services, including MFC Rescue 10, Air One helicopter, get ready to help, if possible.

Kindergarten-aged child said crying loudly “Daddy stop! Daddy stop,” says 911 caller. Police go.

Woman in white, blue and pink lava-lava will await police arrival out on the road, by the front gate. “Has a bump on her head,” says 911, allegedly caused by “domestic abuse” from the well-known homeowner.
